"The Sunny Spot"
Kids and Killbear Park are a natural combination. My daughter and her cousin
were busy colouring behind our campsite. The midday sun had lit the spot so
well, I couldn't resist snapping a shot of it. And at the urging of her
mother a painting soon followed.
I was hoping to catch some interesting contrasts; besides the obvious of the domestic work of the colouring books going on in the woods, but also the concentration and the carefree, the splashes of sunlight on Abby's hair and the cool shadows of the forest. Something temporary and whimsical in a setting thousands of years old.
